Em Paris, para onde se mudou em 1886, cruzou-se com artistas que tiveram uma enorme influ\u00eancia sobre si, entre eles Monet, Pissarro, Degas ou Gauguin. Dois anos mais tarde, partiu para Arles, Sul de Fran\u00e7a, onde pintou algumas das suas obras mais importantes, marcadas pela solid\u00e3o e desordem da sua vida.
